Marsh Masters

Through the use of specialized equipment, such as aquatic excavators and marsh tractors, we are able to operate in wet locations where other equipment would fail.

Planting

Often times simple procedures, such as soil manipulation can allow for aquatic vegetation to thrive while reducing undesirable invasive plants. We have the ability to plant in areas where typical equipment would fail and would significantly impact the landscape. Our equipment can provide as little as a half a pound per square inch of pressure in moist soil areas, such as green timber, reservoirs, and areas of properties that back flood during certain times of the year.

  • "Smartweed" refers to plants in the genus Polygonum (or Persicaria), which are excellent for waterfowl. Ducks love smartweed because it produces abundant seeds and provides cover in wetlands.

  • Millets are excellent food sources for ducks, providing energy-rich seeds that are especially beneficial during migration and wintering periods.

  • Agricultural (Ag) crops are an essential tool for attracting and supporting ducks, particularly during migration and winter. These crops provide a high-energy food source, critical for sustaining waterfowl through cold weather and long flights. These crops are also a great way to support deer as well as Turkeys.

Wildlife Habitat Development

One of our passions is looking at a piece of property and developing its potential by improving the landscape through cleanup, access development, and careful planning. If you have a piece of property that you would like to improve upon and need support, please feel free to reach out.

    • Our machines can clear overgrown vegetation, level uneven terrain, and prepare properties for planting crops or wetland vegetation.

    • Ideal for creating smooth surfaces for planting food plots like millet, corn, or sorghum.

    • Build or repair access roads and trails so property owners can easily reach remote areas for maintenance, monitoring, or hunting activities.

    • Provide gravel, grading, or soil stabilization to handle heavy equipment and vehicles.

    • Construct small bridges, culverts, or low-water crossings over streams and ditches to improve navigation across properties.

  • Our equipment can create shallow basins ideal for waterfowl by grading land to the correct depth (4–12 inches for ducks).

    Remove unwanted trees or invasive species and plant beneficial vegetation, such as oaks or willows, that enhance waterfowl habitat.

    Our machines can assist in restoring degraded wetlands by reshaping land contours, improving hydrology, and planting native vegetation.

Offroad Vehicle Recovery

We often find that attempts to work in areas with typical equipment lead to failures that include vehicles, such as ATVs, UTVs, and other equipment, being trapped within the mucky environments, they are attempting to work in. Our machines are designed for this environment and allow us to provide a service where we are able to help safely. Remove stuck equipment in vehicles.   • Our machines are equipped with winches, tow hooks, or booms to recover vehicles stuck in mud, sand, snow, marsh, or rocky terrain.

  • Our machines are able to negotiate marsh terrain and use high torque winches to recover equipment

  • We partner with local rescue teams to recover vehicles in remote locations.

This pond had provided much enjoyment for many years for the family however, as it happens, sometimes age and neglect allowed the pond to become overgrown with woody vegetation upon its levees. The use of a medium sized excavator and mulching head, allow us to clean up this pond so that the landowner can access this and enjoy the memories that were made for many years.

However, they went where they should not have and could not have. But we were able to get in and recover quickly. Our UTV is equipped with portals and tracks with winches on both the front and the back. Our marsh machines have winches that are up to 22,000 pounds and strength.
